Vueling is a Spanish low-cost airline launched in Barcelona in 2004, connecting travelers across Europe and selected destinations in North Africa and the Middle East. Built around short- and medium-haul travel, the brand combines accessible air travel with a strong Barcelona identity, digital booking services and an expanding network within the International Airlines Group ecosystem.

About Vueling

Vueling began operations in July 2004, initially flying with two Airbus A320 aircraft from Barcelona. Its first routes connected Barcelona with destinations including Ibiza, Palma, Paris and Brussels, establishing the airline around Barcelona-El Prat as its principal operating base.

A major milestone came in 2013, when Vueling joined International Airlines Group (IAG). Today, it sits in the same aviation group as British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and LEVEL while maintaining its own brand identity and network strategy.

What Vueling Offers

Vueling provides short- and medium-haul passenger flights across Spain, Europe and selected destinations in North Africa and the Middle East, with direct and connecting services centered strongly around Barcelona.

Its digital travel ecosystem includes online and app-based booking, seat and baggage options, different fare structures and Vueling Club, the airline’s loyalty programme. Vueling Club members can collect and use Avios toward flights and travel extras such as seats and baggage.
